Okay, someone asked me on msn earlier if december was a big month for me, and I told them no i’m doing a lot better this month, they asked how much better… Something I like and I know others like is seeing actual commission figures, not necessarily profits and in depth income reports
but some figures be them small or large. I’ve put at the bottom of this post some examples of posts I’ve enjoyed reading with actual figures in them
.
Okay, so most people rave on about how december is the best month for them, they make 3,4 or 5 times as much as other months etc, but for me december has always been a disappointment, my sites although varied have never seemed to have done very well in december.

- December Affiliate Commission
- January Affiliate Commisssion
Above is a screenshot of my december overall commission using Affmeter (a cracking tool that collects all data from nearly all networks in one easy click of the mouse) for the dates 12th to the 16th compared to january’s 12th to the 16th, you’ll see a big increase…this is due to a couple of things…a few new ppc campaigns and a few new sites as well as older sites recovering a bit from downtime due to hosting. But for me I emphasise with anyone that affiliate marketing isn’t consistent and if your earning £5,000 for example a month this doesn’t necessarily mean you will be the next, thus making if you want to quit your day job a big decision.
Note: This isn’t profit figures. Also note that you can see a massive variance in my figures…which isn’t good and my aim of 2009 is to keep this months average going!
Here are a few examples of posts with actual figures in you may find interesting to read: http://www.webaffiliate.co.uk/blog/networks/half-yearly-results-announced.html

Is that £800+ revenue per day?
yes its revenue per day, some of it will be pending, buut about 85% confirmed
£800 a day? can you lend me a fiver mate?
It seem you are really doing justice with the time you are spending on affiliate marketing apart from your usual uni stuff. I guess that most of the time you spend is on the PPC and a big % of your affiliate revenue is from the PPC rather than the SEO.
Any thoughts on sharing the information about the PROFITS too apart from the total REVENUE.
Also, what sectors do you get the most.
Cheers
Hi Mike
Im trying to move towards more SEO but im slow and still do a lot via PPC.
My profits vary day to day, can be as little as 10% of revenue up to 80%, I don’t know my average, but its somewhere between those two figures
Sector wise, really varied
Cool. That sounds really good but being a PPC affiliate marketer involves great amount of risk as merchants going bust. Anyways, do you do ppc on thin affiliate websites with single page or a just a few html pages or are they a decent content pages websites. Hope thats not too much to ask.
That sounds good. But there is a good amount of risk involved in being a 100% – 90% PPC affiliate marketer due the recent closure of the merchants. Anyways, do you have thin single product websites or are they the one with decent amount of content with multiple products on it.
Also, it seem there is an issue with submitting the comments as this is the second time (today) i am writing this same comment and when i entered it last time it redirected me to the error page.
Hey
Yep know theres a slight issue, trying to work out what it is at the moment,
I ppc a mix of thin 1 page sites and more in depth content sites.
Hope this helps
Max
O la la… That sounds really wonderful.
Was wondering if you can shed some more information on how did you get started with the affiliate marketing. I mean, everyone who starts with the affiliate marketing has hesitation to kick start the AM with PPC as no one knows what works and what doesn’t until you really do it.
You can have a completely new post about the same which might encourage a couple of newbies to try their luck in the affiliate marketing. I think you will hear many more questions from me in the next few days/weeks time. Lol
Cheers,
Mike…
Don’t forget me !
I made “£10.84″ in December.
Luckily the only costs were my time.

Jan is better already
For me, I learnt several years ago that I could not cope with the risk of “losing” it all one month because either google changed it’s algorithm or closed my adwords account and that’s why I’ve always loved residual income affiliate schemes – it really smooths out the peaks and troughs. The downside is that it can be slower to build a bigger income, but once it’s there, it gave me far more confidence to quit the day job!
Good work! Thank you very much!
I always wanted to write in my blog something like that. Can I take part of your post to my site?
Of course, I will add backlink?
Sincerely, Timur I.
you can link to it from a post of yours but sorry you cant copy the any of the content and put on your site.
Thanks
Max
I’ve never given this a try, but I think it’s about time I do.
